2D Storyboard for Scene Mapping

In addition to a linear timeline (which would also be great to have), I’d love a 2D storyboard tool for visualizing and organizing chapters/scenes. Instead of just arranging scenes chronologically, this would allow me to place scenes as “bricks” on a canvas and draw lines between them to indicate different types of relationships (such as cause-and-effect, callbacks or thematic links). Being able to click on a scene to view its content, and easily see how many scenes reference a specific event or element, would be extremely helpful, especially for tracking redundancies or complex narrative threads. A visual, non-linear map would make managing intricate stories much easier.

I'm not sure how Subplots are meant to be used (I don't use them that much, I know what goes where and use Plottr for big picture outlining), BUT I think this is they way you could track those scenes, by simply making a codex entry for the relations you want to connect between chapters and then look for them in the matrix view by subplot. Maybe spaceemotion can point you to the use of the subplots feature.
But I'm with you that a timeline would be much appreciate it, even when I am not sure how exactly could they implement it in the software in the way, let's say, Aeon timeline does (which I'm tempted to try, but too many softwares makes you loose track of your workload, the reason space created NC actually).
