Would it be possible to set a default model for generating prose?
I use "Claude Sonnet" all the time, it takes two clicks. I know, it's noch much, but it would writing more comfortable.

Totally agree. I just made the mistake and found out that I wasn't giving Claude but Chatgpt the (wrong) advice.

Yeah it's pretty frustrating to accidentally have a conversation with 4o when you thought you'd been talking to Claude for 15-20 minutes. And then scratching your head and thinking, "Hey, wait a minute. That response didn't sound like Claude at all!" Then looking up to discover you've been talking to 4o all along. I was able to switch to Claude 3.5 Sonnet mid-chat and Claude did a good job seamlessly continuing the chat. But I can't help but think I had wasted a bit of time where time is precious!

I second that - OpenAI default is like defaulting to an over protective mommy character.

I always forget to change my preferred AI model when I start a chat. Very annoying. There should be a way to always have it use a preferred model, instead of it changing back to ChatGPT-4o every time. It looks like no one is even looking at implementing this improvement yet for Novelcrafter. An official response would be appreciated. Thanks! :)

I have my favorite models based on extensive testing of my own. For people less interested in the technical minutia of LLMs, what about a way to group/categorize models by price range and SFW/NSFW? Instead of selecting a particular model from a list, you can select a category. For example, while planning you want to be frugal so select the 'Inexpensive' category. NC (via OR) would randomly select one of the low-cost or free models. This would also make model maintenance (another feature request) easier. You wouldn't need to follow AI news to know what the latest state-of- the-art models are this week. You only need to know that the 'Expensive' category will always have the latest and greatest models.
