Clone codex entries?

NC provides the capacity to clone a prompt, which we can adapt.
Can we extend this to codex entries?
Example:
I need to combine several versions of a series level codex entry for a new novel in the series.
It would speed up the process if I could simply clone a series level codex entry (In this case my character master).
AND clone selected nested codex entries.
They would become novel level codex entries I can tweak, without impacting any other novel in the series. (The master codex is preserved).
There are probably other use cases, the above is an example I would have used a lot, today :-)

This has probably been addressed before, but I would love to be allowed to "Copy" a Codex entry to another book, rather than just move it. If this is already possible, I haven't figured it out yet.

You can do it now but only by either using a project as a template or copying and pasting each entry from your old codex to your new one.
However, it's on the list to be looked at.

Your easiest fix is to make a blank template if this involves a series of books and then copy that template anytime that you want to start a new book. Your codex will copy over. In the write section.

Cloning codex entries is a very complex endeavor and one of the reasons why importing a codex isn't possible right now.

spaceemotion Has the work on the framework made this a possibility? With the ability to move codex entries, pairing this with cloning entries would be a match made in heaven (until importing is available)
