I write primarily in English, but my novel contains French dialogue and French character names. At the moment, NovelCrafter appears to spellcheck the editor as English only, so correctly spelled French words such as 'hôpital' and 'commande' are marked with red underlines.

The same happens with some French names. For example, my character is named Raphaël, which is the correct French spelling, but NovelCrafter continually marks it as incorrect. Other accented words that are also commonly recognised in English, such as café or Valérie, don’t appear to have the same problem.

It would be useful to have either multilingual spellchecking, particularly the ability to enable English and French simultaneously, or an option to add individual words and character names to a personal dictionary.

For novels containing more than one language, the current red underlines create a lot of unnecessary spellcheck warnings for words that are actually correct.
