In one night, I have already ran into three infuriating issues. One is that Nia doesn't seem to know the UI at all and gives bad directions. When the site AI doesn't know its own site, it is hard to maintain confidence in the site. The chat box likes to pop up over the manuscript so you can't see what you are talking about. The manuscript should never be covered. Also trying to have the chat discuss one line of text in the manuscript is impossible without cutting an pasting. If I wanted to do that, why not just use ChatGpt or Gemini. You should be able to select a string of text in the manuscript and discuss it. Not necessary rephase or expand or shorten. To discuss. Gemini with all its failings is capable of that. I was hoping for a one source to be able to brainstorm, load the material i have, organize it, keep it save, and have editorial tools that don't bastardize my writing. So far, I am not impressed with Novelcrafter.

What you are looking for is called J. A. R. V. I. S., (as most of us, maybe), but you won't find it anywhere. NC does a lot much more than it should on it's short lifespan so far, regarding AI tools.
I haven't used Nia in all the time I've been here, you better try learning by reading and doing, and most of all EXPERIMENTING. (We also have a DC community that it's eager to help, go there before giving this kind of "feedback".)
I'm not telling the software is flawless, (import/export codex details and UI revamp

) I gave a lot of feedback, and keep doing it, but you can't blame the tool when you do not look for ways to adapt it to your workflow.Be creative with what we are given.
