Timeline

In my novels, there are several time jumps. Usual ones like "The next day", "A few hours later", ... Sometimes I have flashbacks and sometimes two scenes happen at once.
First, it would be super awesome to have a feature in "Plan" mode, where I can arrange scenes in a timeline. This would be super helpful for outlining a story and avoid plot-holes.
Secondly, it would be cool, if this timeframe could get some properties (like season, weather or day/night) and be stored with the scene (kind of like the POV). So when I generate the prose it doesn't say "the summer sun was warm", when it happens in winter.
I know, that's a big one, but it would help a lot in crafting a novel.

Almost like Plottr? So you could have different timelines and show where they overlap? Any way for me to be able to designate a timeline would be great. At the moment I'm using acts to group chapter by week, then the first line of the scene summary to specify date, time, weather. IE: W3:Mon morning | Sunny

Stable Lizard I never heard of Plottr before, thanks. I think, plottr is rather basic and could easily be done with the matrix view in "Plan". What I have in mind is to plan the timespan of scenes. So i could see, if a chapter reaches in a new season. Ideally this information is passed on to AI when creating prose.

Regarding weather (and for me, clothing and injuries) I use the feature "codex additions" linked to a codex entry "continuity" where I can at a glance check the state of my characters in the last scene I wrote. Could also be used to track weather and other events?

Large Ostrich this sounds like a great idea! I'll try that for the weather issue.

I love this idea! And I'd love to see it happen. To add on to this, I would also love to be able to have a Timeline option, similar to the Codex, of events that include chapters/events from other books in the series.
