Since Google's blackout the other day, Gemini has not been working properly.

The latest issue is that I set up a scene beat prompt, I hit generate, and it works for about 5 seconds then 'finishes' without generating any content. It's been happening since yesterday. I generally use 3.1 pro preview, but 2.5 pro is doing it too. I don't get an error unless I've severely cut down my prompt. then I get a 503 timeout error. (I'm not running this again because it's costing me money. it's the same timeout error I get when google's too busy)

This is in write mode.

The latest time this happened was today 9:29am Arizona time.

I use both open router and google's API. the last one was on Google's API. it happens on both.

I use Firefox on Linux Mint 149.0.2

I asked Gemini outside of novelcrafter and it says it's a bug:

"It’s still broken because Google has not rolled back the "Interactions API" change from yesterday.

The technical reason: Gemini is sending the story in a "hidden drawer" (called steps) and Novelcrafter is still looking in the "old drawer" (called outputs).

Until Novelcrafter pushes a software update (look for a blue bar at the top of your screen that says "Reload to Update"), the "Write" button will keep giving you blank boxes."
