spaceemotion what does this behavior consistently for me is after I have either done either #1 or #2, then #3.
- pasted (ctrl-V) to replace highlighted text, or
- after I highlight and use a Rephrase option, then accept the text because I like part of the Rephrase
3.then I press Ctrl-Z (undo) to see what it was before and then Ctrl-Y (redo), it inevitably jumps to the end making me scroll up to find it again.
Does that mean the key to reproducing is to have text highlighted when Pasting or undo/redo'ing? Hope that helps, thanks!!!

Glad to hear this is in progress. It happens randomly, but often enough, and yeah, I have to scroll up and try to figure out where I was. Chrome on Mac. Thanks.

Cursor jumping around in Chrome for Mac
A
Allied Rhinoceros
In the Write view, every time I make a edit or try a prompt or anything, everything just bounces all over the place and I have to scroll around to find where I was before. I suspect this is not an unusual issue as I have seen others post this bug but it's enough to make me find another app. It works fine in Windows but my main person machine is a Mac (brand new) I've tried different mice and different settings and it still does it. Is there a better browser or setting that might help with this?

Cursor Jumps in Microsoft Edge on Windows While Typing

I've been experiencing an issue while using Microsoft Edge on my Windows device. As I type, the cursor unpredictably jumps around the page, often causing my text to appear at the bottom or even in the middle of the content I'm trying to edit. This makes it incredibly difficult to focus on my writing, as I constantly have to reposition the cursor to the correct spot. It’s really annoying, especially when I'm in the flow of typing and suddenly find myself scrambling to find where I was. Has anyone else dealt with this issue?

I've reproduced the behavior with several browsers and both in PC, android (phone) and linux (steam deck). The first edit on a text sends the cursor to the end of the scene after writing the first character.

jumping to end of chapter
D
Dew Lemming
When replacing a word I type in the first letter. When I hit the second letter it jumps to the end of the chapter and puts it there. example: I'm replacing 'wind' with 'storm'.
Highlight 'wind'. Type 's' and it goes where the 'W'' was. when I type the rest of the word 'torm' the letters are added at the end of the chapter. has happened many times

Wenge Dingo i can't seem to be able to replicate this on Chrome + Win 10. do you have any special browser extensions installed by chance?

spaceemotion: I use Edge (WIndows). My extensions below. It doesn't happenevery time, but quite often. I'll try to find other relations, because when I tried to recreate it myself after your post, I failed.
