Novel Switcher control fails to switch novels when the primary view is Chat

Expected Behavior: Using the Novel Switcher control in the left pane should allow the user to change between novels in the current series, in any primary view (Write, Chat, Plan, etc.)
Actual Behavior: When in the Chat view, using the novel switcher control reloads the current novel instead of changing to the selected novel.
Repro Steps:
- Open a series with multiple novels, and open a novel within that series
- Switch to Plan View, and switch novels within the series; notice that the switch occurs as expected.
- Switch to Chat View, and attempt to switch novels within the series. Notice that the "load novel" interstitial appears as if switching novels, but the user is returned to the novel which was open before using the novel switcher control.

For some reason, I have an error, when I'm working on my series, when I click let's say Book One, I have to click it at least three times for it to work. The first time, it only remains in the same novel. And he doesn't seem to recognize when I've changed.
