Since the new performance optimizations were applied, Novelcrafter no longer recognizes character names as codex entries, but does recognize longer, more structured entries. It seems to have special trouble recognized codex entries with 2-word names such as "Ghost Soldier." It doesn't seem to have any trouble with entries that include punctuation. But specifically, it doesn't recognize the names of my two main protagonists, which is an issue if I'm using chat. In Write, I can specify what codex entries I want included in the prompt, but I can't do that as easily in chat unless I'm chatting with a scene.
I also notice the optimization has dramatically cut down the number of codex entries it recognizes in the prose. Granted, I'm one of those people with over 400 codex entries right now, but I'm also working in a high fantasy world, so this is also an issue. It would be far more useful for me to be able to tell Write/Chat which entries I want it to exclude as well as include on the sidebar, so that I can fully curate and manage the context.
