It would be nice to either have more categories / groups / labels for the codex. So in addition to character location ect have stuff like fauna, flora, history, ect. Alternatively, give the ability to add custom categories that can be done as well. This would be preferable, but harder from software perspective.

I absolutely love the Plan mode in NC. However, a few things are missing imho. So here is my wishlist (mostly for Outline View, but some might apply to other views as well): Scenes: * Add new scene before/after any scene * Collapse scenes * Split selection into new scene * Move scene up/down without drag'n'drop (I work on an iPad, it's a PITA) Display in Scenes: * Labels in Outline (could be just a simple colored dot to save space) * Custom-POV in Outline * Codex entries * Some indication, what scene I was working on in Write mode Filter: * Filter by text (like in Grid view) * Filter by label (would be awesome in grid and matrix view as well) * Filter by codex entries (like in matrix view) General: * Show number of scenes

Being able to see snippets across a series instead of only in the book you are currently in. This could be helpful for if you no longer want a snippet to be in the current book, but instead am leaving it to add later in the series.

It would be nice to be able to delete and outline or a chapter without having to go in and manually remove everything that is written first. Not really a big deal, but it would be a handy feature.

I've noticed some fluctuation in how I can filter my Codex (and hopefully later on snippets and chats as well, ;D) using labels. For a while, I could select multiple labels and it would sort them as either [Label] AND [Label], or [Label] NOT [Label], but this has been suspended. Right now, the work-around is to filter by Category, Type, and Label, each one offering one filtering option at a time, and it's functional, but every time I need to look at something different I have to clear the filters and re-filter. I would really like to see all of the following filter options employed for labels: [Label] - Filters for all entries with indicated label (currently in use). [Label] AND [Label] - Filters for entries that include both/all labels indicated. (not currently in use, was previously (and I miss it!)) [Label] NOT [Label] - Filters for entries with first label and not the second. (Not currently in use, but was previously). NOT [Label] - Filters out entries with indicated label (Currently in use). NOT [Label] NOT [Label] - Filters out entries with either indicated labels, but not necessarily both. (Not currently in use, but was previously, and it is missed.) [Label] OR [Label] - Filters entries with either label, but not necessarily both. (I haven't seen this employed yet, and I would REALLY, REALLY like to see this filtering option. It would help so much in customizing the entries I see, without having to reset and re-filter every time I need to look for something different.) Thank you!

I want to see the original text to compare with the generated one until I press apply. I would argue it should always be visible until manually removed. The reason for this is sometimes every generation adds something interesting and I want later to use parts of each. It's not possible when they disappear every time.

I’d like to be able to reorder my custom details via drag-and-drop, and ideally also group them into subcategories. That way, in a Codex entry, I could either display individual details or collapse/expand an entire group for easier navigation. This would make large Codex entries much more manageable. Currently, if you have several entries, it's just a mess, and it's even if you just have a small group of which world, which continent, which region, which city. It's unsorted and not logical. So we need a drag-and-drop.

A scene beat is it's own isolated prompt window, however it would be nice to be able to link scene beats: Most of the times the scene beats write out 300-400 words (sometimes more, depending on the model). However, those beats, most times feel like they are trying to end off the scene. In be nice if the author had the ability to chose whether to end the scene beat or continue it - at which point you would enter a new scene beat, allowing for the 2,3,4 or however many you want, scene beats, to blend better.

I would love the ability to edit chats like in chatgpt and playground. I find that I sometimes don't like the answers i'm getting and have to start the entire chat in another window. it would be great to just edit the chat.

Hi NovelCrafter team, I wanted to share some feedback on the pricing page, specifically around how AI/BYOK access and other features are split across tiers. Right now, BYOK only unlocks starting at Hobbyist (A$12.44/mo), Workshop Chat is reserved for Artisan (A$21.77/mo), and any collaboration features only kick in at Artisan/Specialist. I think there's a strong case for moving BYOK down to the entry tier (Scribe) — possibly even for free — and monetizing instead through the quality of the experience (better UI, advanced review tools, etc.) at higher tiers. A few more specific suggestions: BYOK: available from Scribe (tier 1), ideally free Workshop Chat: move down to Hobbyist (tier 2) Two-person collaboration (inviting others to your novel/series): move down to Artisan (tier 3) Full Team creation & management: keep at Specialist (tier 4) — this still feels like a fair place to monetize The reasoning: most people using BYOK are already paying for their own model usage — realistically a minimum of ~US$20 / A$30 per month for a usable amount of AI generation. Asking the same users to pay an extra A$20+ just for interface access on top of that starts to push past what feels reasonable, especially with open-source tools and similar 'clone' products already offering BYOK for free. I'd hate to see people churn to those alternatives when NovelCrafter's actual writing tools are genuinely good. Thanks for considering this — happy to share more detailed thoughts if useful.
